Viagra:Why prescriptions are required!
Can real Viagra be bought without prescription? The answer to that question is a cautious “Yes”. Yes it can—but finding where to buy these tablets will be the key issue.
Viagra is a PDE-5 inhibitor. What this means is that it restricts the formation of the enzyme known as PDE-5. Without Pde-5 in the body, the formation of nitric oxide is increased and this results in a relaxing of many of the body tissues. Some of these are the blood vessels located in the penile region and those found in the pulmonary region.
In moderate and monitored doses the effects of Viagra (propelled by the constituent chemical Sildenafil Citrate) is strong enough to permit an increase flow of blood in the affected areas. However, when a man takes more than the prescribed dosage, he stands to suffer from several effects.
Headaches are one of the side effects of taking Viagra and with an overdose this effect is bound to worsen. The reason is simple. Because of the relaxed blood vessels, the amount of blood that is delivered around the body is significantly increased.
It is this increase that causes a slight build in cranial pressure. As more blood is provided to the head, the pressure results in the headaches experienced by people. In most of these cases however, these side effects are found to subside once the drug has left the system—usually an average of 4 hours.
But when people take an overdose, the headaches are more extreme in nature and the people tend to occasionally suffer severe migraines.
Stomach aches are also found to occur as a result of a similar effect. Increase blood flow causes patients to sometimes experience aches in their stomach region. Yet another possible side effect of the use or overdose of Viagra is that of selective vision.
The inhibitory actions of Viagra sometimes also affect those of a similar enzyme found in the eye—PDE-6. People who experience this effect find that their vision becomes polarized, with shades of blue appearing as green. Again this effect is mostly fleeting.
However, by far the most dangerous effect attributed to an overdose of Viagra is its possible Cardiac implications. Men who regularly overdose on Viagra risk inducing heart conditions. In extreme case, an overdose can result in death.
Such a case was found in the tale of man from Russia who, upon accepting a dare for a 12 hour sexual marathon with two ladies, took more than a bottle of Viagra tablets. He died shortly after he won the bet.
It is because of these possible dangers that most countries and their respective health agencies insist that Viagra tablets should only be sold with a prescription.
This is aimed at ensuring that people do not abuse the use of the drug. Viagra tablets are already widely used in social circles as party pills. This use is widely based on the misinformed fact by many that Viagra pills are aphrodisiac in nature.
Naturally, the risk of taking the wrong prescription has not evaded the producing pharmaceutical company, Pfizer, and it is because of this that tablets are provided in different doses. Depending on the nature of your ailment and several factors, a doctor can choose to prescribe any of a 25mg, 50mg or 100mg dose.
Buying Viagra pills will require that you establish a medical history of sorts with a pharmacy. In many countries, pharmacists are willing to sell Viagra pills to patients who already have a proven need for the tablet. However, in some other countries it is indeed possible to buy Viagra pills online without a prescription or any of said medical history.
