The drug Flibanserin however addresses this. Its use is now being considered as the possible answer to the female Viagra question. As much as 2000 pre-menopausal women were given Flibanserin alternated with a Placebo for 24 weeks in clinical trials held in the United States, Europe and Canada.

The results of the test suggested that the drug had remarkable positive effects in improving the sexual desire of tested subjects.

Sexual dysfunction becomes more common in people as they get older. Whilst men still maintain interest in sex, they begin to find it difficult to act or function properly. Women on the other hand lose interest in sex as they get older even if they are still healthy.

It is hoped that Flibanserin will be able to address this. Flibanserin is currently unavailable in the market and is only provided to subjects who are participating in the company’s tests. If results are positive then the company is hoping to have an announced release and launch in the near future.
