The study aimed at discovering if the effects of Viagra would improve the funcitoning of the heart.
Combos of placebo and Viagra drugs were administered to the patients three times daily for two simultaneous run of six week. In the first six weeks some of the patients were provided with nothing but Placebo and in the second six weeks this was changed to real Viagra tablets.
The results of this experiment showed for the subject who received real Viagra pills, the performance of the heart was found to increase significantly as opposed to when the patients were only taking a placebo.
While the results are welcomed they are hardly shocking. Viagra pills were originally designed to be used for the treatment of heart conditions before its anti-impotence features were discovered.
Direction was then changed from this area towards its use in the treatment of erectile dysfunction. Today, Viagra pills are sold at many online pharmacies.
