Canada court rejects bid for generic Viagra

OTTAWA, June 18 (Reuters) – The Federal Court of Canada rejected on Thursday a bid by generic drugmaker Novapharm Ltd to be allowed to market a generic version of Pfizer Inc’s (PFE.N) erectile dysfunction drug Viagra.

The court said Novapharm should not be allowed to introduce a generic version until Pfizer’s Canadian patent expires in 2014. The court rejected Novapharm’s allegation that the patent is invalid. Buy generic Viagra online -
